I love Christmas :)
I'm sitting on my couch in the softest snuggie you'll ever feel. Thank you mom and dad.
The Sims family has few traditions surrounding the holidays- but one definitely makes up our lack. We each write a letter to Jesus and read them Christmas morning before we eat our eggs benedict and tear open our presents. We use our letters to reflect on the past year and look forward to the next. We pause and remember the wonder of Christmas- Jesus, who had everything, gave up all the riches of heaven and became a man. His solidarity with our humanity makes him the perfect savior. He knows our weaknesses, he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows.
If you have a moment, read Philippians 2:1-11 today and wonder at what we're celebrating.
Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year! :)
thoughts shaped by people, places, and experience
T. S. Eliot
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Preciosa amiga--me regocijo contigo en el Senor y en lo que El esta haciendo en tu vida. Estoy orando que tu vida sea una vida llena del Esiritu Santo y que confies en Su presencia. Te amo mucho mi Raquelita.
ReplyDeleteMuchas, muchas gracias Lucinda. He pensado en Juan 3:30 desde el viernes. Siempre esta en mi mente :)
